To understand one concept (Path diagrams in this case) you often need to have learned other concepts that are complimentary, derivative or encompassing of that concept to understand its context and meaning.

To gain this understanding someone might choose many different paths. Three (3) notable ones are:
1. Taking multiple courses that teach the different concepts
2. Read books on the different concepts
3. Search online the different concepts

Each of these ways to come to an understanding are less organized, more time consuming and less positively innovative than 1Cademy. 

Why are concepts (path diagrams) and papers easier to understand on 1Cademy? (2)

How 1cademy solves the issues that come with learning through books, the internet and classes (in the case of Path diagrams). (2)

To fully understand the path diagram (and all of its causal implications)  from the study, you would need to have learned a series of concepts that draw relations upon eachother. For example, a mediator is present in the diagram and understanding what a mediator is, is crucial to interpreting the causal effects in the path diagram.

To understand all the implications of a mediator on the flow of effect on a causal diagram, one would first have to have a background in causal diagrams and how to interpret them. Additionally they are likely to need to have some background in the different causal junctions to know how to properly identify a mediator. 

Furthermore to understand the mediators effects, one would have to know what regression and regression coefficients. Without such knowledge the person wouldn't know how to interpret the numbers on the arrow that indicate causal effect.

To understand the path diagram paper, someone might take three (3) different routes:

 1. A student might take multiple courses in statistics and causal inference to learn the concepts. This would take a considerable amount of time and if you wanted to return back to your notes it would take even longer to find the corresponding pages of notes with the concepts. Even if you did find them the information could be outdated, or you won't be able to find the source to learn more.

2. Perhaps they might choose a quicker route and read books to derive their understanding from there. This would bring up a timely issue of flipping through chapters and different sources to connect the ideas. Even when someone finds the corresponding pages it will be nearly impossible to compare two topics side by side, especially if they are in the same book.

3. If someone just wants to settle for a basic understanding and skim through different links and searches on the internet. It may be fast but there will be no organization of ideas, little to no understanding of the connections between concepts, a lack of context for the different concepts, and no direction to learn the concepts deeper if the person wished.
