Test with users to determine whether the tone of any new piece of content matches the chosen profile. There are two parts to this:

• Use product-reaction testing to see if your users choose tone words to describe the content that correspond to your intended tone profile
• Ask your users to rate your content on one or more of the tone dimensions by asking them to complete a 3-point or 5-point Likert scale with each extreme of the tone dimension at opposite ends of the scale
