Hypotheses of COVID-19 and Somatic Burden Study

  1. Autonomy-supported leadership will be positively associated with workplace buoyancy
  2. Autonomy-thwarting leadership will be negatively associated with workplace buoyancy
  3. Autonomy-supported leadership and workplace buoyancy will be negatively associated with the three outcomes
  4. Autonomy-thwarting leadership will be positively associated with the three outcomes
  5. Autonomy-supportive leadership will buffer/reduce the negative association between autonomy-thwarting leadership and outcomes
  6. Autonomy-thwarting leadership will boost the positive association between autonomy-supportive leadership and workplace buoyancy
  7. There will be indirect associations via workplace buoyancy
  8. The hypothesized model will be the best way to measure the outcomes of the study given its basis in theories and prior research compared to alternative models
