One flaw in the existing infrastructure may lie in the mass publications of preprint research which forgoes the traditional peer review process. Based on other tweets we’ve analyzed, preprint papers may exhibit problems such as selective (cherry picked) literature review, overstated (not properly qualified) conclusions, and biases in general. Moreover, existing platforms for disseminating research do not provide sufficient tools or structure for surfacing the most important or relevant research on COVID-19 (i.e. do not address information overload).
