Implications of Asperger Syndrome and Schizophrenia: A Comparative Neuropsychological Study

From the present study, its results indicate that Schizophrenia and Asperger's (a form of Autism Spectrum Disorder) are more alike than previously thought and when examining diagnostic standards. Additionally, the results of this study calls for more widespread practice of neuropsychological assessment in those with Schizophrenia as it will provide beneficial information on one's strengths and weaknesses and therefore one can receive appropriate and effective treatment.
