Limited studies have been done on the efficacy of learning therapy and aphasia when it comes to memory function and language construction or comprehension. However, the few studies that have been done involving implicit learning are particularly effective.

Some studies involving aphasia and memory have involved implicit learning. Implicit learning is a process or series of processes in which the relationship or association between two items or concepts is formed by incidental learning processes, in which all learning is done through non-conscious or explicit learning but by practice in a natural situation or environment.
