Inaccurate Assumptions from Role Schemata

While schemata allow for more efficient information processing, they can lead to problematic judgments by generating inaccurate assumptions about individuals. For example, a person might not possess the typical traits associated with their role schema, such as a firefighter who is not inherently brave but is simply working to pay bills.
