Individual discrimination in healthcare

Structural discrimination come from norms, rules, and attitudes built into the fabric of society that create disadvantages and limit opportunities for certain populations based on  race, gender, etc. Examples include residential segregation, unequal access and opportunities to education and jobs, and inequalities in the criminal justice system. These forms of macro-level structural discrimination can affect people on an individual level when it comes to healthcare.
