After the knowledge has been transferred, it must be integrated. This stage focuses on the gradual integration and institutionalization of the knew routines/behaviors. This happens after satisfactory results have already been produced from the knowledge transfer.

This stage includes the events that lead up to deciding to transfer knowledge. The need and the knowledge to meet that need must exist in this stage to start the transfer. 

Initiation Satge

This stage starts when the decision is made to transfer knowledge. Resources needed to successfully transfer will move between the source and recipient in this stage. 

Implementation stage 

This stage is characterized by the start of using the knowledge that was transferred. The recipient will have to deal with solving problems that unexpectedly arise in the transfer process and in utilizing the knowledge.
