This is the kind of stroke associated with a blood vessel being blocked, usually by a blood clot. This results in lack of blood flow to certain regions of the brain causing brain tissue to die.

This is the condition in which blood supply to the brain is blocked or if a blood vessel ruptures, thus causing damage to brain tissue.

There are two main kinds of stroke: 
- ischemic stroke
- hemorrhagic stroke

This kind of stroke results when a blood vessel is ruptured, typically from a fall, and involves blood flowing into the brain.
