Job enrichment aims to give workers more power over their tasks and more responsibility for the design, execution, and output. The worker assumes more of the tasks previously carried out by their immediate supervisor or other staff.

Motivation in the Workplace to Improve Employee Performance

Job enlargement involves broadening the job of an employee so that it has them doing more work than they have been doing but still of a similar nature to what they currently do. This allows them to complete the whole task instead of just one part of it. For example, if one works at a company where they package products, they could also be in charge of manufacturing the products as well. This removes the boredom out of the job while also increasing their responsibility.
