Job Search in Different Economic Climates

Consider two different economic scenarios. In Scenario A, the economy is expanding rapidly, and there are many job openings relative to the number of people looking for work. In Scenario B, the economy is in a recession, and there are very few job openings, with a large number of people seeking employment. Analyze how the expected length of time an individual will remain unemployed differs between these two scenarios. Explain the underlying reason for this difference, focusing on the connection between the overall state of the job market and an individual's job-finding prospects.
