Reduction of ADAMTS13 Levels Predicts Mortality in SARS-CoV-2 Patients. 

- ADAMTS13 levels, vWF antigen (the substrate of ADAMTS13) and natural anticoagulants (AT, PC, and PS) levels in the blood were measured in each of the 77 patients within seven days of admission to the hospital.

- 97.5% of patients had comorbidities 
- 73% of patients were older than 60 years.

- The median value of ADAMTS13 activity median value was 70 U/dL.
- The kaplan-meier analysis demonstrated that a significantly lower survival rate was seen in patients who had lower ADAMTS13 activity than the median value of 70 U/dL.  
- vWF antigen levels did not appear to be associated with risk of death from SARS-CoV-2 infection.
