KGMLP Enhances Assessment Design
A Knowledge Graph of Micro-topics and Learning Pathways (KGMLP) Enhances Assessment Design in two ways:
- Progressive Assessments: The knowledge graph allows for the design of assessments that progressively evaluate students' understanding of concepts as they move through the course. Early assessments can focus on foundational concepts, with later ones testing more complex, dependent ideas.
- Targeted Feedback: By mapping assessment questions to specific nodes in the knowledge graph, instructors can provide targeted feedback based on which concepts students are struggling with. This helps in diagnosing learning difficulties more precisely.
