In a lab study evaluating action plan creation, researchers obtained initial draft documents from interns at a large technology company. They asked each intern's mentor to leave 12 comments on the drafts and then create action plans to address these comments in a lab setting. Mentors were asked to create both unstructured and vocabulary-based plans. The methodology mirrored a prior online study, including a training step, a planning step, and corresponding questionnaires following each step, along with an open-text questionnaire about the overall process.
