The study did not give exact numbers for which participant was an imigrant learning english as a second language. Immigrants where were educated before entering the US tend to have higher language learning abilities. There is also no information on how many languages the participants knew before using this app. The more languages a person knows, the easier it tends to be for them to learn new ones.
