These disorders lead to lower levels of cognitive functioning from the normal. The daily lives of people with mild neurocognitive disorders are not obstructed because the levels of neurocognitive degeneration are not high enough.

Mild Neurocognitive Disorders

Major neurocognitive disorders cause substantial degeneration in cognitive functioning in comparison to former levels. This degeneration in cognitive functioning impedes the person's capability to complete daily tasks, but it may or may not co-occur with delirium.
