Lifestyle-Based Treatments for Illness Anxiety Disorder

Lifestyle-based treatments for Illness Anxiety Disorder (IAD) actively include the patient in the therapeutic process to sustainably address the underlying causes of health anxiety. Because patients are responsible for managing their own lifestyle changes, these approaches require high receptivity and a willingness to accept the disorder's psychological nature. If a patient is not receptive, medicinal approaches may be more effective.
