Linear text does not help deductive reasoning

Linear text is at best not helpful for logical reasoning, and at worst it might have lessor performance than concept maps/logical structures. Since the difference hybrid map and concept map is not in logical relationships of ideas in the passage but rather in the form of representation, the difference in their efficiency is caused by processes at or before the stage that unpacks linguistic representations into logical representations (i.e., initial reading and encoding of stimuli).
