Long-term effects of Skin-To-Skin contact

Some of the long term psychological effects are maternal attachment for the child, a strong empathy and connection with the child. Parents who did not have the chance for Skin-to-Skin care and this is a source of sadness and concern since the bond which is formed with this type of care is missing if this care has not been done. Relationships form due to connection and love and skin-to-skinis what helps in the long run to both the child and the parent bond. It helps combat depression, and anxiety all due to the impact of oxytocin.
