Marco's Rationale for Storing Cash: Reaching a Higher Indifference Curve

As illustrated in Figure 9.7, Marco can achieve a higher level of utility by storing a portion of his endowment instead of consuming it all immediately. This improvement is possible because part of his feasible frontier for storing lies above his reservation indifference curve, granting him access to more desirable consumption bundles. Consequently, if storing were his only financial option, he would certainly choose to save some of his $100.
