Market Coordination (Price Mechanism)

Market coordination, also known as the price mechanism, is a method of organizing economic activity through decentralized transactions between independent agents. In this system, prices convey all the necessary information for buyers and sellers to make decisions, and relationships are governed by contracts for each exchange. This stands in contrast to the internal, hierarchical coordination within a firm.
