Masters and Johnson's Research on Reproductive Anatomy
Beyond their findings on the sexual response cycle, Masters and Johnson contributed significant empirical data regarding human reproductive anatomy. They determined that the average size of a flaccid penis is 3 inches and an erect penis is 6 inches. Their research helped dispel the long-held misconception that the size of an erect penis determines its ability to provide sexual pleasure. Additionally, they found that the vagina is a highly elastic structure capable of conforming to penises of various sizes.
