Data extraction (1) characteristics of the sample (age, gender, previous cardiovascular comorbidities, diabetes, and hypertension); (2) incidence of cardiovascular diseases; (3) levels of cardiac biomarkers, including troponins, N-terminal-pro B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-pro BNP), myoglobin, creatine kinase (CK), creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and inflammatory biomarkers including D-dimer, C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), ferritin, interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α); (4) frequency of acute hepatic injury and acute kidney damage.
