Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training for Perceived Stress
In overweight or obese adults, MB-EAT has been found beneficial in decreasing perceived stress (as measured by the Perceived Stress Scale). This benefit was found in addition to the other benefits identified for obese populations. It is suggested that these findings are due to an increase of feeling in control, self-sufficiency, and self-esteem caused by MB-EAT.
