- Further research should examine how to encourage greater participation in correcting misinformation because results of this study shows that while participants are not likely to reply to misinformation tweets, they would nevertheless provide accurate information if they were to actually respond

- RQ3 – the type and tone of corrections did not have statistically significant impacts on response likelihood, even though exposure to corrections increased the likelihood of response
