Multiplying Binomials Containing Square Roots

When multiplying two binomials that contain square roots, apply the FOIL (First, Outer, Inner, Last) method to generate the four products, just as with standard polynomials. Often, the "Last" product involves multiplying a square root by itself, which yields an integer (e.g., 33=3\sqrt{3} \cdot \sqrt{3} = 3). The "Outer" and "Inner" products frequently result in like radicals. After applying FOIL, simplify the expression by combining any constant integer terms together and combining any like radical terms together.
