Music Therapy as a Form of Meditation for Terminally Ill Patients

In a 2016 study done by Marco Warth and his team, they found that music therapy had a noticeably calming effect on terminally ill patients’ cardiovascular system with a reduction of a person’s vascular sympathetic tone. Nevertheless, more research must be done in order to see to what extent the relationship between music therapy can help alleviate the pain and symptoms for those in palliative care.
