Neonatal meningitis
Neonatal meningitis is a type of meningitis that affects babies up to three months of age. This infection can be caused by Streptococcus agalactiae transmission in the vagina during birth. Later onset neonatal meningitis occurs 1 week to 3 months of age as well and the source of infection is unknown.
