Neuroticism and Facebook Use
Neurotic individuals are more likely to use Facebook in a passive way. to learn about others (information-seeking). Neuroticism is the only trait measured in the Big Five Personality Test that is associated with information seeking. Neurotic individuals are also likely to have social difficulties, so they use Facebook to meet belongingness needs not met in real life. Neuroticism is associated with increased communication on Facebook.

Personality Trait Application
Within the Big Five personality framework, how is the construct of neuroticism conceptually defined?
According to the research findings presented in the text, if a researcher measures an individual's neuroticism levels in early adulthood, they should expect those levels to be highly unstable and fluctuate randomly when measured again in middle age.
A psychological researcher is analyzing data from a longitudinal health study. Match each participant's recorded observation to the characteristic or facet of neuroticism it best illustrates, based on the Big Five model.
