Concept
Noise Pollution
Noise pollution stems from the accumulation of disruptive sounds and can cause adverse health effects in people and other organisms. High noise levels increase the risk of cardiovascular illnesses, hypertension, hearing loss, tinnitus, and sleep disorders. Additionally, excessive exposure to noise may cause emotional and psychological problems, and it disproportionately impacts individuals with autism, who can be particularly sensitive to sound.
