Fact-check alerts decrease the likelihood sharing, more so for mainstream news sources than non-mainstream news sources. However, mainstream news sources are more likely to be shared regardless of fact-check alerts or not.

- less likely to share news when there is a fact-check alert

- sharing likelihood did not decrease at a greater rate when users were given a fact-check alert on a nonmainstream news source
- the likelihood to share news decreased more for mainstream news sources
