From March 11-May 2, there were 24,172 deaths in excess of seasonal expectations, which resulted from impacts of the pandemic. 13,831 (57%) were confirmed COVID-19 associated cases, 5,048 (21%) were probable COVID-19 associated cases, and 5,293 (22%) were excess deaths that occurred indirectly from the pandemic.
