OPC screening rates are low among males aged 45-64, African Americans, and people of low socioeconomic status. People who also engage in excessive alcohol consumption and tobacco usage also experience a higher rate and risk of OPC.

Individuals who screened for OPC were lower among smokers and racial minorities. To increase the survival rates among individuals, certain racial and socioeconomic barriers need to be reduced
