Short Answer

Optimizing Time Allocation

An individual is choosing how many hours to work. At their current choice of 18 hours of free time per day, the rate at which they can trade free time for consumption is 15 units of consumption per hour. However, they only require 10 units of consumption to feel compensated for losing one hour of free time. Explain why this individual is not maximizing their satisfaction and describe the specific change they should make to their time allocation to become better off.
