Origin of The Wealth of Nations
The creation of The Wealth of Nations began during Adam Smith's travels in Europe. While staying in Toulouse, France, Smith reportedly found himself with little to occupy his time and decided 'to write a book in order to pass away the time.' This project evolved into what is now considered the most famous book in the field of economics.
