A sample of 30 COVID-19 patients received slituximab along with the best supportive care and were compared to 30 matched control patients from a sample of 188 controls. Those in the experimental group had a significantly lower mortality rate (10/30) and serum CRP levels (an indicator of IL-6). This report is merely an observational study.
