Search User Interfaces

Shows documents that have been accessed and the results listing

Primary View

Overview

Shows the user what would happen if a choice is made. This will allow them to make informed decisions about their search (eg. document surrogates and query previews)

Preview

Allow users to revisit past choices (eg. search history mechanisms), see node on "Supporting Search History"

Review

Show users information that may become of interest but not what they are currently focusing on (eg. previously viewed info and minimized windows)

Peripheral View

Shows the search actions that are performed by other users
