Pharmacological Treatment of the Comorbidity of Major Depression and Anxiety Disorders
It is very important to conduct drug clinical trials using participants who suffer from depression and anxiety comorbidity. This allows pharmaceutical companies to formulate medications that help those patients since the number of clinical trials made using participants with only one disorder is higher than the ones conducted using participants with comorbidity. The dosing of the medication for patients with depression/anxiety comorbidity, its effectiveness, and the time it takes to work may differ from those of patients with only one of these disorders.
