Photo Manipulation and Eating Disorder Presentation

Photo manipulation, a form of eating disorder presentation, was not found to be associated with higher odds of meeting criteria for subclinical or clinical binge-eating or UFED (unspecified feeding or eating disorders) but was with subclinical or clinical bulimia nervosa. This may be because adolescents who met criteria for clinical or subclinical bulimia nervosa (characterized by weight/shape concerns) may have experienced greater body dissatisfaction than those with clinical or subclinical binge-eating disorders (not characterized by weight/shape concerns).
