Possible Cause: Split-Attention Effect
Do Novakian concept maps split the learner's attention such that they have to mentally integrate some parts of it? Can it be caused by representing logical relationship by geometric shapes which might seem different from words (i.e., what effect would a purely lexical concept map have)? Is it because of the graphical split between branches and/or pages if the concept map is large?
