Practical Applications of Gilbreth's Efficiency Methods

Lillian Gilbreth applied her principles of motion efficiency beyond the factory floor to everyday life, including in homes, offices, and shops. Two lasting examples of her contributions are the concept of adding shelves to the inside of refrigerator doors and the invention of the foot-pedal-operated trash can lid.
