Prevalence of Adult Separation Anxiety Disorder (ASAD)
While adult Separation Anxiety Disorder (SAD) has historically received less attention than childhood separation anxiety, research indicates that it is a prevalent and clinically significant condition. The National Comorbidity Survey Replication was the first large-scale epidemiological study to include the diagnosis, revealing a lifetime prevalence of 6.6%.
