Types of Schooling Reference Node

Schools that are not funded by the government at any capacity. They have more freedom to move away from the national curriculum as the funding comes entirely from the students. The student to teacher ratio is usually lower than at public schools. 

Traditional Private School 

Schools in which school-aged students live on campus most of the school year. The educational process goes beyond academia, as there is an emphasis on extracurricular activities. Tuition is usually expensive.

Boarding School 

Students are enrolled into language immersion schools to become fluent in another language. The curriculum can be entirely based on a fluent language. Tuition is usually expensive. 

Language Immersion School

Private schools that rely on the Montessori method of education. Montessori education involves a multi-age classroom environment in which a student remains with the same teacher for at least three years. It emphasizes group work and collaboration, without reliances on grades and testing.

Private Special Education School

Schools that are affiliated with a religious body, commonly being a church. Unlike most private schools, tuition fees are not high, making the parochial school system the largest private school system in the world. The family of the admitted student usually must be affiliated with the same church to which the school belongs.
