In areas without access to formal education for children and adults, non-formal education is implemented in rural areas to balance social and economic growth between rural and urban areas. 

 Rural Educational Development

When non-formal education is added to formal curriculums through school trips and time outside of the classroom based on the needs of the community. In this context, non-formal education acts to reinforce the lessons in formal education.

Integrated Education

The idea that education should be encouraged and available throughout a person's life even if formal instutitonals are unavailable.
