Can Rising Wages Explain the Historical Decline in Working Hours?

Despite the inherent simplifications of economic models, a fundamental question remains whether they can provide a partial explanation for major economic trends. Specifically, we can use the model to investigate if the historical decline in working hours can be understood as a direct response to the long-term increase in wages.
