Short Answer

Procedure for Finding Isocost Endpoints

A company has a fixed budget of $10,000 to spend on two inputs for production: specialized components and technician hours. Components cost $500 each, and technician time costs $100 per hour. To visualize all the combinations of these inputs the company can afford, one must draw a line on a graph. Explain the method for finding the two endpoints of this line. State the calculations you would perform and the resulting coordinates for each endpoint, assuming components are on the horizontal axis and technician hours are on the vertical axis.
