When (Fake) News Feels True: Intuitions of truth and the acceptance and correction of misinformation

Fonts that are higher contrast are easier to read, making it easier to process. People are more likely to accept claims made in high contrast font. The legibility of fonts also plays an important role in whether or not we accept a claim. Harder to read fonts lead us to scrutinize the message more, so claims in easy to read fonts are more likely to be accepted.
