Provisions of Operation Barga

The laws enacted under Operation Barga established new rights for sharecroppers, known as bargadars, fundamentally altering the land tenure system. Key provisions included increasing the farmer's crop share to 75% and stipulating that these newly secured tenancy rights could only be inherited by sons within the family.
