Rationality of Declining a Higher Income

An individual is offered a promotion that comes with a significant salary increase but also requires them to work 20 additional hours per week, leaving very little time for personal activities. The individual declines the promotion. Using the economic framework of individual choice, analyze why declining a higher income can be a rational decision.
